Abstract
El siguiente artículo tiene como objetivo diseñar y medir el concepto de capital digital, de tal forma de contar con una herramienta metodológica útil para evaluar las brechas digitales al interior del campo educativo, lo que contribuirá a comprender las fortalezas y carencias digitales que enfrentan los estudiantes de educación superior durante la enseñanza virtual. Para llevar a cabo la investigación se encuestó a 1.399 estudiantes de educación superior, de los cuales un 61% son estudiantes de universidades y un 39% de centros de formación técnica-profesional. Los resultados evidencian una serie de desigualdades económicas, culturales y digitales entre ambos grupos de estudiantes. En lo referido al capital digital, se puede establecer que los estudiantes enfrentan una serie de deficiencias referidas a la producción de información y en menor medida al proceso de búsqueda de información, que podría dificultar su proceso de aprendizaje durante la educación telemática, con lo cual docentes e instituciones de educación superior, necesitan implementar acciones remediales que permitan disminuir los efectos adversos de las brechas digitales.Downloads
