Elementos, Contextos y Atributos del Liderazgo Docente Identificados por Profesores Universitarios del Sureste de México

Resumen

El liderazgo docente tiene sus inicios en los países occidentales como respuesta a los rápidos cambios que se produjeron en los entornos sociales, políticos y económicos y actualmente en el contexto latinoamericano se ha convertido en un foco de interés para los investigadores educativos, particularmente por la incipiente investigación sobre el tema. Este trabajo se centró en conocer los elementos, contextos y atributos identificados con el liderazgo docente en el sureste de México. Los participantes fueron todos los profesores de tiempo completo (50) de una facultad de una universidad pública. Los principales hallazgos muestran que: los elementos que se relacionan con el liderazgo docente son conductas centradas en las relaciones interpersonales y la innovación escolar. Con respecto a los contextos, el contexto institucional y el trabajo colaborativo suelen ser los escenarios principales que se conciben para el desarrollo del liderazgo docente. En cuanto a los atributos se pone especial énfasis en: las relaciones interpersonales, cambio, y desarrollo individual y reconocimiento. No se encontraron diferencias significativas en las percepciones de los participantes que tienen un nombramiento administrativo y aquellos que no lo tienen, en cuanto a los contextos y atributos del liderazgo docente, con excepción de los elementos del concepto liderazgo docente entre hombres y mujeres.
