BRAC, Barcelona Research Art Creation is a quarterly electronic journal created in 2013 in the academic context of the University of Barcelona, involving national and international and framed in the Hipatia Press. This publication of Open Access has been proposed since its inception from the close relationship between research, university teaching and artistic practice in a multidisciplinary field with the aim of creating a platform where researchers, academic staff and professionals of the theory and practice of contemporary art to publish the results of its research.

Visual pages make up a collection of works by its authors and authoresses managed by BRAC with the contribution of the University of Barcelona in its cataloguing, maintenance and management.

Peer Review Policy:

All research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous double-blind peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by two anonymous referees.

Licence: Until October 5th 2013, Hipatia Press scientific journals were published under Creative Commons Attribution NonCommercial-NoDerivative License(CC BY NC ND). Hipatia Press journals decided to change the license and use the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) as recommended by the Budapest Open Access Initiative taking into account its commitment with Open Access.

All contents of the electronic edition are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution license and distribution (CC BY),unlessthey are specifically and expressly stated to use a different permit.

The inclusion of texts from isolated artworks of either plastic or figurative nature are used as quotation for analysis, comment or critical review, and they must be in accordance with article 32 of the current Intellectual Property Law, given the research purpose of the publication itself. In all cases, the source and the name of the work’s author that are used must be indicated properly, and every necessary measure must be taken foran appropriateuse, as specified in the section "Submissions”.
