Focus and Scope

RISE publishes theoretical articles and original research outcomes developed from the scope of the Sociology of Education with,different methodological approaches based on theories and scientific evidences, with the purpose of providingsignificant scientific advances in the socio-educational scope. In this line, disciplinar and intedisciplinar works related to educational research will be published, related to educational research, developed from a social perspective that provides elements that essentially contribute to the social transformation and the overcoming of social inequalities from the education.

Peer Review Process

The editorial board will review the works received by the journal and it elaborates the corresponding report for the acceptance or rejection of the article, based on the criteria of quality, as much as formal and of adjustment to the own contents of this journal.Once it is verified the adjustment of the works, these are sent to two external expert people for a valuation by means of the system of " double blind" or " peer review". In case of discrepancy, there will be one third person that reviews.

Once the evaluations of articles by this external procedure have been done, the author(s) will be notified the acceptance or not and, in necessary case, will be asked for the modifications suggested in the evaluation reports. In this last case, once the original text has been re-elaborated by the author(s), the work will be evaluated again by the Editorial board, according to the initial valuations realised and contained in the referred information.

Correction of proofs. The correction of press proofs and/or the electronic format will be done by the author(s) in the term indicated by the Editorial board. If there were not answer in time by the author(s), this correction will be carried out by the Editorial board, collating it with the original one.

The opinions and contents of the manuscript published in RISE are under exclusive responsibility of the author(s)

This journal provides free immediate access to its content under the principle of which to make the research freely available to the public supports a greater interchange of global knowledge.

 

Publication Ethics

PUBLICATION ETHICS AND MALPRACTICE

The International Journal of Sociology of Education (RISE) is committed to meeting high standards of ethical conduct at all stages of the publication process. In our ethical standards and procedures, we set out general expectations for authors, editors, reviewers, publishers and society partners.

RISE guarantees at all times the confidentiality of the evaluation process: the anonymity of the reviewers and the authors, the content evaluated, the report issued by the reviewers and any other communication issued by the editorial and advisory boards.

In the same vein, the confidentiality will be maintained before any clarifications or complaints that an author wishes to send to the committees of the journal or to the reviewers of the article or review.

RISE declares its commitment for the respect and integrity of the works already published. For this reason, plagiarism is strictly prohibited in RISE and texts that are identified as plagiarism or its content is fraudulent will be removed from the journal if they have already been published and will not be published if they are at the review process stage. Hipatia Press and RISE editors will act, in these cases, as quickly as possible. By accepting the terms and agreements expressed by RISE, authors must ensure that the article or review and the materials associated with them are original or do not infringe copyright. The authors also have to justify that, in case of a shared authorship, there was a full consensus of all the authors affected and that the article or book review has not been previously presented or published in other journals.

RISE editors will publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when needed.
