Focus and Scope

Revista de Investigación en Didáctica de las Matemáticas (REDIMAT) is an Open Access four-monthly Journal of Hipatia Press that publishes articles in the field of mathematics education with significant contributions to the understanding and improvement of the teaching and learning of mathematics.

REDIMAT emerges from the need to respond to the excessive compartmentalization of scientific knowledge that has traditionally existed in the educational field in Spain and Latin America, and aims to be an international space for disciplined debate and criticism through the presentation of theoretical contributions and evidence to promote educational equity and the improvement of our societies.

REDIMAT publishes original empirical and theoretical work, drawing on scientific researches focused in a variety of theoretical and methodological approaches. The editors encourage authors to submit a number of works, including: reports of research, case studies, surveys, and inquiries, using quantitative, qualitative or mixed methods. Authors are also encouraged to submit book reviews and issues related to research topics.

REDIMAT publish articles in English and Spanish.
